Retail Banking Concentration

For the Retail Banking Concentration of the Leadership Development Program, we are looking for individuals who genuinely care about people, who can build strong relationships, and who are prepared to take on the challenge of bringing our community banking philosophy to life.

The Retail Banking Concentration prepares you for a position as a Banking Network Financial Center Leader. You will be fully trained in all areas of branch operations and retail lending, including the following:

• Selling financial services
• Leadership principles
• Business development
• Management techniques

Banking Network Financial Center Leaders are expected to show quality leadership and give guidance and encouragement to all branch personnel. You also will be expected to show initiative in developing relationships with clients and ensuring that they receive superior client service. Duties include the following:

• Leading in-house marketing programs
• Managing the branch's retail loan portfolio
• Managing discretionary deposits and loan pricing
• Managing branch staffing

All concentrations consist of an intensive training curriculum of classroom and on-the-job training in leadership, technical, supervisory, and sales skills. The Leadership Development Program provides Leadership Associates with a strong foundation to take responsible positions in their areas of concentration and offers them excellent opportunities for career advancement throughout the corporation.
