BB&T Capital Markets' Corporate Finance analysts are generalists and exposed to each of our industry groups through an organized program of career management and client exposure. Analysts are staffed on a broad range of exciting transactions and play an integral part in the preparation of materials, participation in pitches, drafting sessions, presentations, and other client meetings. Our goal is to provide each analyst with client interaction, diverse industry exposure, and participation in multiple transaction types, including mergers and acquisitions, private and public equity offerings, and structured finance activities such as private and public debt offerings. Following a four-week training program, which involves financial model creation and analysis, in-depth financial analysis, transaction execution, and presentation creation, analysts are immediately staffed on live assignments with a senior banker and a senior associate. Financial analysts are then responsible for industry comparative analysis, financial modeling, presentation creation, private offering and sell-side document creation and production, and general financial analyst duties.
