What is the BB&T Visa® Reward Card?
The BB&T Visa Reward Card is a prepaid card with a value that is limited to the amount of money loaded on the card by your company at the time of purchase. It carries the Visa logo like any Visa credit or check card, but because it is a prepaid card, spending is limited to the funds available on the card. Each time the card is used, the purchase amount is automatically deducted from the available balance. Cardholders can buy what they want, when they want, at millions of locations where Visa debit cards are accepted. The card can also be used online and when making purchases by phone or mail.

What is my responsibility if the card is lost or stolen?
You are not responsible for lost or stolen cards. The cardholder should notify us immediately when the loss is discovered by calling (866) 594-2076. Their card will be canceled and a replacement card will be issued as described in the Cardholder Agreement. The balance on their card will be transferred to their new card, minus the card replacement fee.

What happens if an employee/customer tries to make a purchase that exceeds the available balance on their BB&T Visa Reward Card?
Most merchants cannot access the balance on the card so it is critical that cardholders know their balance before they shop. If the employee or customer tries to purchase something of greater value than that on the card, the transaction will be declined. However, he or she may choose to use a second payment method, such as a debit card, credit card or cash to pay for the difference. When making the purchase they will need to tell the cashier how much to deduct from the gift card and how much they will pay with another payment method.
