These new numbers will appear on your BB&T statements and on any checking, savings, or loan documents that you receive after March 16, 2009.

If your current check supply runs out before March 16, 2009, reorder checks as you normally would, but please remember to order the minimum quantity.

Your deposits at BB&T will continue to be insured by the FDIC up to the maximum amount allowed by law. Your total BB&T deposits that reflect the same ownership rights and capacity will be insured up to $250,000 until December 31, 2009. Insurance coverage for certain retirement accounts, which include all IRA deposit accounts, was increased permanently to $250,000 per depositor in 2006.
Certificates of deposit are insured separately for six months after December 12, 2008 (the "Closing Date" of Haven Trust Bank, Duluth, GA), or until maturity, whichever is later. If your certificate of deposit matures within the first six months and the account is renewed for the same principal amount and term, the certificate of deposit will continue to be insured separately until the next renewal date after the initial six-month period has ended.
If, on December 12, 2008 (the "Closing Date" of Haven Trust Bank, Duluth, GA), you had deposits at Haven Trust Bank and BB&T, your deposits at each bank will continue to be insured separately for a period of six months. After the six-month transition period, your deposits from Haven Trust Bank and BB&T will be added together for the purpose of determining the amount of your FDIC coverage. You may call the FDIC directly at 1-877-275-3342 for more information on how your funds may be insured at BB&T.
You should receive your last Haven Trust Bank statement shortly after March 16, 2009. After the merger, you will receive BB&T statements every month. Most BB&T business account statements are printed on the last business day of the month. If you are currently receiving your statement at a special time, that delivery time will continue.
If you would prefer to change your statement options, please contact a BB&T representative after March 16, 2009. For your convenience, both your Haven Trust Bank deposit account numbers and your new BB&T deposit account numbers will be included on your monthly statement for a period of time after the merger.
BB&T image statements provide images of checks (front of check only/ten items per page) and other debit items; however, images of deposit tickets or other credits are not provided. BB&T does not return deposit tickets or other credits in the bank statement.
