If you are going to use OnLine Bill Payment, you must have an existing BB&T checking account and be enrolled in BB&T OnLine or BB&T Business OnLine, our free online banking services. Opening an account is fast and easy.

If you are not already an Online Banking customer, enroll now.

If you are an existing Online Banking customer, get started with OnLine Bill Payment in two easy steps:

  1. Log on to Online Banking on BBT.com
  2. Once you are logged on, click the Bill Payment tab, and begin paying your bills.
  • It's easy and it takes just minutes to pay your bills. View our demo to learn more.
  • It's safer and more convenient than sending paper checks.
  • Pay as many bills and as many payees as you like. There is no limit.
  • Pay your monthly bills automatically. That's one less thing you have to remember.
  • Buy fewer stamps. Order checks less often.

BB&T OnLine Bill Payment
Convenience
  • It's simple. Just select the day you want your payment sent.
  • It takes only two business days for your payment to be delivered if your payee accepts electronic payments.
  • We guarantee delivery of a paper check within five business days, if your payee does not accept electronic payments.
  • It takes only one day for your payment to be delivered, if you are sending a payment to BB&T.
  • There is no limit to the number of individuals or organizations you may add to your payee list.
  • There is no limit to the number of bills you can pay each month.
  • OnLine Bill Payment is available with BB&T OnLine, BB&T Business OnLine, Microsoft® Money and Intuit® Quicken®.
  • Business clients can also access OnLine Bill Payment through Intuit® QuickBooks®.
Acceptance Pay any company, agency, organization or individual with an address that includes a valid U.S. ZIP code, including the following:
  • All US addresses
  • Any US territory address
  • APO/FPO (military) addresses
Flexibility
  • Payments can be any amount up to $100,000.
  • Payments can be scheduled up to one year in advance.
  • You can make as many payments as you like, with no monthly limits.
Simplicity
  • BB&T OnLine, BB&T Business OnLine and OnLine Bill Payment are all free services.
  • Accessing your accounts online through Quicken or Microsoft Money may carry a small monthly service charge.
  • For business clients, accessing accounts through QuickBooks may also carry a small charge.
