Important System Upgrade Information

Note:  The conversion deadline has been extended to October 31, 2009.  Please review the FAQs for important conversion update information.

We appreciate the trust you place in us to provide you with exceptional products and services to meet your financial needs. As a result of our commitment to offer the most efficient and convenient client services, we are pleased to announce that BB&T will be upgrading our system. This system upgrade will improve the performance of online access through Quicken®, QuickBooks®, and Microsoft® Money.

Quicken and QuickBooks Clients - Action Required
To make the transition to the new system, you are required to modify your desktop software in order to ensure a seamless transition of data. During the conversion, Quicken and QuickBooks clients will need to:

  • Back up current data
  • Download the latest software update
  • Delete any pending or repeating payments
  • Get your latest transactions from BB&T
  • Deactivate your accounts with BB&T Group
  • Reactivate your accounts with BB&T Banking and Bill Payment
  • Recreate pending and repeating payments
  • Send an Online Update

Step-by–step instructions for the above tasks and the complete upgrade are available specifically for each software version. It is important that you follow the instructions exactly as described and in the order presented to ensure that you don’t miss any transactions, nor receive any duplicate transactions. The conversion steps should take 15-30 minutes to complete.

Microsoft Money Clients - No Action Required
Microsoft Money clients will not have to take action during the conversion. However, please review the instructions for other important information regarding the upgrade. Microsoft Money clients will not be able to send emails to the new OFX system until July 31st.
