The Annual Meeting of Shareholders of BB&T Corporation is scheduled for 11 A.M. Eastern Time, Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the W Hotel, the Great Room, 401 North Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33304.

The Special Meeting of Shareholders of BB&T Corporation will also be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in the same location as the Annual Meeting and is scheduled at 11:45 A.M. Eastern Time following the conclusion of the Annual Meeting.
