Through the years, the BB&T Lighthouse Project campaign has continued to touch our employees' lives as much as it has for those who benefited through our agency partners. All BB&T employees are encouraged to be involved in the project, and are truly motivated to get outside of our offices and cubicles to give back to those around us. In 2001, members of the BB&T family were proud to live out our mission of making the communities we serve better places to work and live, while shining a ray of hope to those who may feel hopeless.
During the first three years of BB&T's Lighthouse Project, employees rolled up their sleeves to help as many people as they possibly could. Collectively, our employees have donated more than 150,000 volunteer hours to local charities and touched the lives of more than 5 million people in 25 states.
