Homeowner Payments through Association Services

Save time and go green with convenient options for paying association fees. You can pay:

  • In person at any BB&T Financial Center
  • By mail
  • Through a bill pay provider
  • Automatically with Association Pay – Recurring payments are automatically debited from checking or savings
  • Online – Pay by Card Payment or by eCheck from checking or savings

Pay Automatically

With Association Pay, you can have recurring payments debited directly from your bank account anywhere in the U.S. Enroll online, by fax or mail. Here’s how:

Enroll Online

To enroll online, your association must be set up for Association Pay enrollment through the BB&T Association Services Online Payment System.
  • Enroll in Association Pay (ACH) online.
  • Enter the payment information from your coupon book or statement.
  • If your association is set up, an option will display that will allow you to enroll. 1
  • Once the enrollment request is submitted online, a printable receipt will be displayed indicating the month your automatic payment will begin.

Enroll by U.S. Mail or Fax

  • Complete the Association Pay enrollment form located in your coupon book or with your statement.
  • Attach a voided check and mail to: BB&T Association Services, P.O. Box 2914, Largo, FL 33779-2914 or fax toll-free to: 866-297-8932.
  • For new enrollments, continue to make your regular payments until you receive an automatic payment start date by mail from BB&T.

If you do not have your enrollment form, you can use the Generic Enrollment Form and follow the instructions on the form to submit your request.

Manage Your Association Pay

To update your account information, download, complete and mail or fax the Change Form. Download, complete and mail or fax the Cancel Form to stop your Association Pay payment.

Pay Online

Our Online Payment System allows homeowners to make their payments online.

Your association must be enrolled in the Online Payment System before you can make online payments or enroll online in Association Pay.

If your association is not enrolled, you will receive a pop-up message when you enter your payment information.

What you can do online:

  • Pay by Card Payment2 – We accept MasterCard®, MasterCard Debit®, Discover®, Diners Club® or JCB.
  • Pay by eCheck2 – eCheck is a one-time electronic funds transfer by ACH debit from your checking or savings account held at any U.S. financial institution.
  • Enroll in Association Pay Online – With Association Pay, you can authorize recurring electronic funds transfers by ACH debit from your checking or savings account held at any U.S. financial institution.

Payment Instructions

  • All payments must be accompanied by an Association Services coupon.
  • Write “U.S. Funds” on checks drawn on a Canadian bank account when check is to be processed in U.S. Funds.
  • Make checks payable to the legal name of your homeowners’ association.
  • Write your bill pay account number, located on your payment coupon, on the check.
  • Do not mail cash.

How does BB&T receive association payments?

Homeowners have several convenient options for paying association fees. You can pay:
  • In person at any BB&T Financial Center
  • By mail
  • Through a bill pay provider
  • Automatically, with Association Pay. Once you’re enrolled, you can have recurring payments automatically debited from any checking or savings account at a U.S. financial institution.
  • Online – When your association is enrolled in our Online Payment System you can perform the following online:
    • Make a one-time payment using your Mastercard®, Mastercard® Debit Card, Diners Club®, Discover® or JCB.2
    • Make a one-time payment by eCheck, an electronic funds transfer by ACH debit from your checking or savings account at a U.S. financial institution.2
    • Sign up for Association Pay and have a recurring payment automatically debited from your checking or savings account at a U.S. financial institution.

How are association payments processed?

To ensure that your payments are processed efficiently:
  • All checks must be accompanied by an Association Services coupon.
  • "U.S. Funds" must be written on checks drawn on Canadian bank accounts.
  • Make checks payable to the legal name of your homeowners' association.
  • Do not mail cash.

Will BB&T accept post-dated checks?

BB&T does not hold post-dated checks. All checks are processed the day they are received.

How do I find out if you received my payment?

How much is my late fee, and what is the grace period before the late fee is charged?

Please contact your property management company or homeowners' association with questions about late fees.

I am considering making my payments through an online bill pay service. What do I need to know?

Make your payment well in advance of the due date. You will need to use the bill pay account number unique to your property address and payment obligation. Please refer to your Association Services coupon book or statement for important instructions on using an online bill pay service. Using a bill pay service may delay payment processing.

How do I set up automatic payments deducted from a checking or savings account?

Making your payment by automatic debit directly from your U.S. bank is easy and convenient. Association Pay instructions can be found in your Association Services coupon book or statement.

Get an Association Pay enrollment form in one of several ways: Once you have completed the enrollment form, attach a voided check and a coupon and send them both to BB&T Association Services, P.O. Box 2914 Largo, FL 33779-2914 or fax toll-free to: 866-297-8932.

Do I need a BB&T account to sign up for Association Pay?

No, BB&T can debit any U.S. bank automatically. If you would like to open an account with BB&T, please call 800-BANK-BBT (800-226-5228). BB&T is a full-service bank offering a wide array of products and services, and we are always happy to help meet your financial needs.

How do I cancel or change my Association Pay?

Cancel or change requests for Association Pay can be printed from BBT.com/payments on the Pay Automatically Tab or through the BB&T Online Payment System. If you are already enrolled in Association Pay, enter your coupon information on the Online Payment System log on screen. You will be presented with a screen that will provide you the forms to cancel or change your Association Pay. Please print and complete the forms and send to BB&T Association Services.

BB&T Association Services must receive requests to cancel or change requests by the 27th of the month to be effective the following debit month. If the 27th falls on a weekend or holiday, the deadline is the last business day of the month prior to the 27th.
