3:30 pm Eastern Time will be transferred automatically through the Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) and credited to the recipient's banks the following banking day. Electronic Cash Disbursement can save money by eliminating the cost of checks and wire transfers, and by giving you greater control over the timing of transfers, reducing the risk of overdrafts.

How it Works

Your designated company representative reports the amounts to be transferred from your BB&T accounts to your payees
Funds are processed through the ACH, a central facility that handles the transfer of monetary transactions between member banks and the Federal Reserve
All disbursements reported before 3:30 pm Eastern Time will be transferred automatically through the ACH for credit to the recipient's banks the following banking day
