Jumbo Mortgages
A jumbo mortgage is a loan that exceeds the maximum amount allowed by most common mortgage investors. While the cost of obtaining a jumbo mortgage is generally higher than that of a conventional mortgage, your BB&T advisor may be able to provide some flexibility based on your financial circumstances.

BB&T also offers super jumbo mortgages and adjustable rate mortgage (ARM) interest-only options.

Vacation Home or Second Home Mortgages
Whether you’re considering a vacation property or second home as an investment, as a getaway, or both, BB&T has available mortgage packages with a variety of very competitive rates and terms.

Home Equity Loans and Lines of Credit
With a Wealth Tax Advantage Credit Line from BB&T, you can finance education, large purchases, or unexpected expenses; make home improvements; or consolidate debt.

1 Consult your tax advisor for details. A 1098 will be issued as required by law.

2 BB&T will pay the appraisal fee for a non-jumbo loan (less than or equal to $417,000). If you pay off your BB&T Home Equity Loan or Line of Credit within 36 months from the date of loan origination, you may be required to remit the appraisal fee or other closing costs BB&T paid on your behalf. There is no annual fee on a BB&T Home Equity Line of Credit unless you live in the following states: AL, GA, FL, KY, and IN, where there is a $50 annual fee. For first lien requests, BB&T will currently waive the origination fee on BB&T Home Equity Loans.
