Bill joined BB&T through the Bank’s Leadership Development Program in June, 1999. He worked in Commercial Lending roles in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Richmond, Virginia. He also spent time in BB&T’s Capital Markets area in Investment Banking in Richmond, Virginia. In 2008, he became the Baltimore City Executive, and served in that role until October 2011 when he became the Baltimore Metro Regional President. In January 2013, Bill was given the opportunity to become the Houston and Central Texas Regional President to lead the Bank’s expansion efforts in Houston, San Antonio and Austin.
Bill is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and holds an MBA from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
Bill is active in numerous civic organizations, from supporting efforts around cystic fibrosis to his involvement with the Kennedy Krieger Hospital.
