Log On Help

Important information regarding your CashManager OnLine® password:

  • First-time users are issued a temporary password by BB&T or your company administrator. You will be required to create a new password the first time you log on.
  • Your password will expire every 30 days. You will be required to change your password before logging on.
  • If you enter an invalid password three times, your user ID will lock and you will not be able to log on until you contact your company administrator.
  • After every password change, you will receive an email confirmation. If you receive this confirmation but did not change your password, contact your company administrator or BB&T Treasury Services immediately.

Rules for Creating Passwords

Passwords for CashManager OnLine are case sensitive and have the following requirements:

  • Must be at least 8 characters
  • Must contain at least 1 number
  • Cannot contain any special characters, such as ! # % ( ) * , ; : @ _ =
  • Cannot contain characters repeated 3 or more times in a row (e.g., 2Kaaa5)

Protecting Your Passwords

Here are some basic guidelines to protect your personal and account information:

  • Do not share or write down your password.
  • Do not use your local browser or third-party password management software to save your password.
  • Change your password regularly.
  • Never reuse a password.
  • Exit CashManager OnLine by selecting Sign Off, not by closing the browser window.

Passwords should not include or duplicate your:

  • First or last name
  • Company name
  • Customer ID
  • Previous passwords
  • Names of the month (e.g., march2016)

First-Time User Password Setup

To begin using CashManager OnLine, you need to complete a new-user setup.

On the initial log on screen:

  1. Enter your customer ID, user ID and temporary password.
  2. Select Log On.


On the Change My Password screen:

  1. Enter your temporary password.
  2. Enter a new password.
  3. Enter your new password again.
  4. Select Save Changes.
  5. Register your token by entering the serial number on the back of the token twice. Select Submit.
  6. Enter the token password and select Submit.
  7. Once verified, the CashManager OnLine home page will display.

Required Password Changes

Your CashManager OnLine password will expire every 30 days. You will be directed to change your password with the Change My Password page after you log on.

Changing Your Password

To change your password, you will need to be logged in to CashManager OnLine.

  1. From the home page, under Administration, select Change My Password from the drop-down menu.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Enter a new password.
  4. Enter your new password again for verification.
  5. Select Save Changes.

Forgotten Password

If you have forgotten your CashManager OnLine password:

  1. Select Reset Password at the log on screen.
  2. Enter your customer ID, user ID and token code and select Submit.
  3. You will receive an email from BB&T with a one-time code.
  4. Return to the CashManager OnLine log on screen and log on using the one-time code.
  5. Enter your customer ID, user ID and token code and select Submit.
  6. The Reset Password Request screen will appear. Enter your new password and verify password and select Reset Password.
  7. Enter your customer ID, user ID and your new password and select Log On.
  8. Enter your token code and select Submit.
